Popping a 9-1-1 with Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga just dropped her latest video for one of her most popular songs "911" on her newest album "Chromatica" and all I have to say is that it's quite a story to say the least. This visual is extremely well thought out to be able to translate to her Little Monsters.

In the song, she states "My biggest enemy is me, pop a 911" to any Little Monster it is no secret that this song is about Lady Gaga experiencing the anti-psychotic medication named olanzapine that she takes, which treats schizophrenia and bipolar that she says has saved her life. Gaga told Apple music,

("911" is) about an antipsychotic that I take. And it’s because I can’t always control things that my brain does. I know that. And I have to take medication to stop the process that occurs.

Off the bat, after watching the "911" music video it's as if it's based in a dream-like world, but with real-life elements.

For example,

- It begins with her in the dream world with a lovely crimson anklet laying in a beautiful desert and at the end of the video it transitions to real-life to her having a broken bloody ankle on a stretcher

- Then you see a man on his knee's and hands on the floor as he consistently then it transitions in his car with a deployed airbag as he lays his head there unconscious after obviously being in a car accident

- In the dream world you will notice a woman in purple sitting silently holding a mummified body then in the real world she wearing purple as well except she is sobbing holding what seems like a dead victim at the accident

- In real life the paramedics flew down, opposed to flying down in an umbrella

- Gaga sees a light flash before her eyes. It seems like she is going up to heaven, but the "paramedics" in the dream world have a rope tied to her ankle so she doesn't leave or in reality, die

- You will also notice bystanders recording the situation in both realms.

- The entire music video is scattered with pomegranate which can possibly mean eternal life, due to the Bible, Mary, holds pomegranate for that reason

- The lyric "Keep my dolls inside diamond boxes" is referring to the dolls representing pills

In this visual Gaga explained clearly open about her mental set-backs. She never seems to fail when it comes to her art. Her music videos usually all correlate together as a full story within each album she makes. I cannot begin to explain how authentic and inspiring she is to so many people and has saved so many lives like mine through her music.
