Lagos-born & bred artist Carolyne Naomi is back with a visual for her latest single "JAPA." The song portrays a woman who stands up for herself after being strung along by a love interest. In the visual you see Carolyne's character being stood up by her love interest, and the story slowly unravels showing the love interest's true colors. "JAPA" was produced by Dallas-based producer Tolu and engineered by Doktor Santi from Lagos.
As a performer, she finds ways of combining her varied interests in music of the African diaspora into her own Afro-fusion and RnB that appeals to contemporary audiences.
The music video for "JAPA" has had more than 14k views and counting, since its release on May 28th.
